Who it is for
- Landscape supply, aggregate, mulch and salt yards
- Contractors tracking material on site
- Anyone doing month-end or year-end inventory
What you receive
- Top-down map image of the site
- Table of piles with an estimated volume for each (cubic yards)
- A one-page note on how the volumes were measured and how accurate they are
Volumes are estimates for inventory, not land surveying. Boundaries, elevations and site plans are work for a licensed surveyor.
How it works
- You send the site address and mark which piles to measure.
- We fly a mapping pattern over the site, usually under 30 minutes.
- Photos are processed into a map and a 3D model; volumes are calculated per pile.
- You receive the map and volume table by link, ready for your inventory sheet.
Questions
How often should piles be measured?
Most yards measure monthly or at quarter end. Flying the same pattern each time keeps the numbers comparable.
Do you need the yard to be closed?
No, but loaders should keep clear of the piles being measured during the flight, which is short.
